The Ideal or the Idol
by Becky Ramsey
Anyone who has entered the educational arena knows that this profession is definitely a calling, whether in the public, private, or even the home setting. Payment for this vocation--whether paid at the top public salary schedule or a mother choosing to include education as one of her many roles in the lives of her children--will never fully compensate the individual for his or her investment of energy. Investments of this magnitude can come only from a calling on one’s life.
