This very important aspect of being a part of the fellowship of believers does not come without another somewhat unpopular "E" word --Effort.
There is no job out there such as the one God has called us to--training the next generation. It is not a nine-to-five job if one is going to accomplish what is best for those entrusted to our care. We arrive early; we work through lunch-opening milk cartons, settling the troops; a break is usually not a "break," but instead an extreme effort to chip away at some grading or phone calls to parents. As we walk out the door to head home, it is seldom that it is without a full brief case. Yet God calls us to more than our class; he calls us to be a part of a community. Satan would isolate us and keep us focused on our own agenda, but Christ calls us to look around and see those educators that we rub shoulders with His eyes and heart and not our own. If we are closely listening to His still small voice, we have the opportunity to be His emissary to those we work with. Can you give a word of encouragement? a hand in a big project? offer to pray for a need that we do not even need to understand? God used Aaron and Hur to hold up Moses' arms and staff to keep the battle on the side of victory. Pray and ask Him whose arms you could uphold today. Then share the results. Maybe we will start an epedemic.
